Network Monitoring Specialist Mutiny Finalist in Network Computing Awards

01 February 2016: Network monitoring business Mutiny has been announced as a finalist in the Network Computing Awards 2016 in the category of Network Project of the Year – Private Sector, for its work with nationwide cinema operator VUE Entertainment. The award ceremony takes place on 17th March 2016 at the Hotel Russel in central London.

Mutiny network monitoring solutions have been deployed across VUE Entertainment’s sites since 2005. The system monitors network performance, audits network usage, alerts and analysis of root causes of faults as well as providing tailored reporting.

Mutiny monitors conventional IT assets along with those associated with the digital-projection equipment in the cinemas. This even extends to projector lamps, which means that when one fails to start up or is likely to need imminent replacement, members of cinema staff are alerted and can quickly rectify the problem without interruption to a cinema performance.

Lawrence Freeman, operations director at Mutiny said: “For over a decade VUE has been successfully using the Mutiny product to keep track of its infrastructure and projection equipment. The fact they still trust Mutiny to undertake this business critical role is a testament to the product and the team that installed it.”
