Mutiny Responds To Customer Demand For SLA Reporting Appliance

Due to overwhelming demand from customers, network monitoring specialists, Mutiny Ltd, have announced the launch of the ‘Mutiny Reporter’ - a brand new Service Level Agreement (SLA) reporting appliance.

Launched in November 2006, the design of the appliance - which will help a company report against both internal and external SLAs - is based on the Mutiny’s award winning approach to infrastructure monitoring. By using the new Mutiny Reporter customers will now be able to:

• Provide IT infrastructure reports with minimal IT administration input
• Deliver IT Service Level reports to stakeholders
• Ensure total efficiency with regard to future infrastructure spend/updates
• Maximise asset efficiency
• Save time – no more manual collation of service availability

The Mutiny Reporter runs on a separate Mutiny appliance, therefore ensuring that IT infrastructure monitoring performance is not affected. A simple web-based interface allows team access.

Says Ian Cutler, Mutiny’s Business Development Manager: “For Mutiny, the launch of this new appliance is a massive step forward in terms of network monitoring.

“The Mutiny Reporter gives IT teams, both large and small, the tools they need to  provide more information to IT senior management and stakeholders on the performance of IT infrastructure, thus influencing both current, and future, IT spend.”

The appliance will analyse service uptime across Mutiny monitored properties such as: PING Failure, SNMP failure, Process Failure, Agency Failure and IP Service Failure.

Service time frames are fully flexible and can be inclusive or exclusive. For example, you can set the appliance to report on the infrastructure on Mon-Fri, 9.00–5.00pm or to exclude these times.

The product, which has undergone months of testing at customers including Westminster University, has proved to be very user friendly and provided extensive reports on network infrastructure and service availability.

“Installation is quick and easy; it will take no more than an hour to get the Mutiny Reporter up and running. Customers can expect to start seeing reports being delivered in approximately seven days,” adds Ian.

The Reporter will function as a sister appliance to the Mutiny Network Monitor 3.5 Version and above. Prices, excluding installation, start from £2,500.
