2006 Brings New Duet Of Clients For Mutiny

2006 looks set to be a bumper year for Gloucestershire-based network monitoring specialists, Mutiny Ltd, following a clutch of client wins of which include the Formula Team – Red Bull Racing - and the National Housing Federation.

Red Bull Racing, based in Milton Keynes, commissioned Mutiny’s Critical Service Monitor - also named Mutiny – in January 2006.

Over 400 staff operate from the company’s Milton Keynes site, working across the race, design/technical and marketing team.

Red Bull Racing’s computer network has to be fully functional 24/7 as unplanned downtime can cost millions. The Mutiny Appliance is currently responsible for monitoring many critical nodes and services on the design and race team network.

The National Housing Federation, based in Holborn, London, commissioned a Mutiny Critical Network Monitoring appliance in January 2006 after the company was selected to become an Affinity Partner of the Federation.

The Federation employs over 142 staff across England, the majority of whom work from their Holborn based ‘Lion Court’ offices. The Mutiny appliance currently installed has the ability to monitor up to 50 nodes.

Says National Housing Federation Head of ICT Rob Green: “I have been aware of the capabilities of Mutiny over the past few years but was only able to integrate the appliance into our IT infrastructure when we moved to our new premises, Lion Court.”

“Network monitoring is an important part of our IT infrastructure and, due to our size, we wanted a solution which was easy to integrate and use. Mutiny really was the only option. In the few short months that we have been using the appliance it has already proved its worth. Our IT team is now much more pro-active in dealing with network issues BEFORE major problems occur – a major benefit for an organisation such as ours.”

Says Mutiny Managing Director Paul Mills: “Mutiny is the only solution for a company looking for a Critical Network Monitoring appliance that can be integrated and functional quickly. The appliance can start monitoring a network in under half a day.”

“We are so proud to be working with these organisations and take immense pleasure in the fact that – for both of them – Mutiny really was the only option. We will be working with them to create truly bespoke appliances that fulfil their every network monitoring need.”
